Mortgage Compliance Specialist | Gilbert, AZ at Barrett Financial Group, L.L.C.

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

1. A comprehensive understanding of the entire loan cycle.
2. Expertise in mortgage lending laws and federal regulations, including TILA, Reg Z, ECOA, and RESPA.
3. Experience with compliance testing, risk analysis, and handling regulatory examinations.
4. Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

1. At least 2 years of experience in mortgage lending, compliance, or QC.

As a Mortgage Compliance Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our compliance standards by:

1. Monitoring regulatory changes, state and federal disclosure requirements, and providing guidance to the mortgage operations team.
2. Responding to compliance questions and supporting team training efforts.
3. Preparing rebuttals and responses in collaboration with the operations team.
4. Assisting with investor, state, and federal regulatory examinations.
5. Contributing to the compliance training program.
6. Reporting QC and internal audit findings to C-level executives.
7. Maintaining an updated library of Federal and State mortgage laws and regulations.
8. Conducting internal compliance reviews, both routine and targeted.
9. Tracking and addressing customer complaints to improve processes and ensure satisfaction.
10. Handling additional duties as needed to support the team’s success.
